Technology

Today’s technology has revolutionized eye care. Our in-office technology makes even the most difficult cases easier to diagnose and treat accurately. Having the technology here in our office makes it convenient for our patients to be evaluated in one location by the doctors and staff members they trust. Each of our technical staff members is highly trained to ensure the most consistent and reliable diagnostic evaluations.

Some of our most advanced technology includes:
  • The Ocular Blood Flow Analyzer (BFA): This test is one of the only ways to investigate the complex and intricate blood flow system of the eye. The BFA results assist in the management and detection of glaucoma as well as other circulatory abnormalities involving diabetes, hypertension and retinal disorders
  • IOL Master A Scan: The Zeiss IOL Master allows fast, accurate measurements of eye length and surface curvature, necessary for determining the correct power of the intraocular lens that is implanted during cataract surgery.
  • Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT): It produces highly detailed images of the retina, the innermost layer of the interior of the eye, and it is the first and only instrument that can “see” below the surface of the retina to examine the retinal layers. Being able to clearly see the internal structures of the eye, not only helps detect the problems before they progress, but to monitor the effectiveness of treatments.
  • EPIC Refraction System: This system utilizes electronic lenses and wavefront technology to achieve the optimal correction for your eyes, while minimizing your effort on those sometimes confusing “better #1 or #2” questions. Further, it allows patients to compare their vision quality using their current prescription to the new prescription found. This gives the patient confidence to make an informed final decision on whether to change their prescription or not.
