- Cataract Surgery
When the symptoms of a cataract (a clouding of the natural lens) can no longer be corrected with glasses, cataract surgery, (the removal of the clouded lens) may be recommended. - Custom Laser Cataract Surgery
Custom Laser cataract surgery using the LenSx computer assisted laser is the latest advancement in cataract surgery. Dr. Richard Kalski is one of the few physicians performing this groundbreaking technique. - Clear Lens Exchange
This procedure is similar to the modern cataract surgery. The difference is that the natural lens is replaced does not have a cataract and is being replaced to correct the patient’s refractive error, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness. - LASIK
Lasik is a surgical procedure that permanently changes the shape of the cornea to reduce or sometimes even eliminate the person’s dependency on glasses. - LASEK
LASEK is a procedure that may be appropriate for patients whose corneas are too thin for the more common LASIK procedure. - PRK
PRK (or photorefractive keratectomy) is a laser eye surgery that is very similar to LASIK. The primary difference between the two is that in PRK, no flap is created on the cornea prior to reshaping the eye with an excimer laser.
