Phacoemulsification

Phacoemulsification is considered the most advanced and modern cataract removal techniques. Under an operating microscope, the doctor makes a very small incision at the front of the eye. A small vibrating ultrasonic probe is inserted through this incision into the eye, which breaks the cloudy lens into small pieces and is then gently suctioned out from the eye.
